Russian 'Skynet' lead to military robots on the battlefield - Future Military

'Terminator' franchise comparable independent from the Skynet artificial intelligence and a step towards forming a Russian company capable of successfully adopting decisions and implementing them in software and tested without human intervention.
The United Instrument Manufacturing Corporation (OPK), an integral part of the Rostec arms corporation, says it has developed the Unicum (Latin for 'the only one') software package that gives military or civilian robots enough artificial intelligence to perform complicated tasks completely on their own.
A group of 10 robotic complexes paying Unicum artificial intelligence (AI) communication and distributes 'characters' in the middle of robots, robot task force 'commander' combat mission selection and assigns each individual machine.
Listening to it, the choice of dominant positions on a battlefield, target of elimination from the human operators can reduce validation of targets and goals to find. It has the ability to request permission to replace machines automatically disabled.
This is the first [AI] system of that quality that has successfully completed the tests and has been passed on to the client. The technology is being readied for installation on real life robotic systems, both civilian and in the military, including unmanned aerial vehicles,” OPK Deputy Director Sergey Skokov said.
The Unicum AI could be installed on any robotic system, no matter where it is used: on the ground, in the air or out at sea. It has the ability to act independently or in groups.
The developers claim their AI could exclude humans from taking part in the actions of robots altogether.
"Unicum, with robots, the new courses of the plot as well as other machines involved, to see the situation and to assess, independent tasks running will be capable of. In fact, this is almost human abilities mechanisms to implement the full-fledged artificial intelligence to emerge is another step," Skokov said.
