The controller circuit DRV8825 stepper is an enhanced and more famous A4988 power version, which provides an output of 1.5 amps continuously and up to 2.2 A with additional cooling. This driver is based on the DRV8825 Texas Instrument circuit and has a pinout fully compatible with the A4988 so it can be a direct replacement for the same but with more power to control bipolar stepper motors of between 8.2 and 45 V and microsteps between 1 and 1/32 in six steps different speeds. It has a potentiometer to adjust the current consumption to prevent damage to the engine and have a smoother and continuous movement thereof. Recommended engine indexer with Nema size to 17.
