Introduction
The goal of this project is to use the Raspberry as a server
network and remote surveillance of an environment with daylight and night
with alarms and video images in the case of moving
the entire application was developed with and for the Linux shell management
of the menu with the package called dialog .
To connect to the server using an ssh connection with a user type
.The administrative software used to connect remotely is the putty
(both linux windows) and on the menu you can move or arrows or mouse.

Main features
Network (Network)
- The Raspberry must be connected via Ethernet or a wireless broadband router
- the possible configurations, all done via the menu, are:
dynamic IP configuration via Ethernet
configuration via Ethernet static IP
configuration Dynamic IP via Ethernet and wireless automatic exchange in case of failure of either. (roaming)
configuration static IP via Ethernet and wireless with automatic switch in case of failure of either. (roaming)
configuration static IP Ethernet and wireless access point in the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) (AP)
dynamic IP configuration of Ethernet and Wireless Client for Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP).
- via menu displays the status and dell'interfacce their hardware configurations.

Virtual Private Network (VPN)
-by menu you can configure a VPN type PPTP (point-to-point tunneling protocol)
VPN features:
check the status and active connections
to add user-type chap
check logs daily level (remember that for proper operation of the VPN on the router must be on the DDNS and open TCP port 1723 to the IP address of the Raspberry)

Remote monitoring (application Motion)
Hardware infrared webcam
I used Raspberry Pi Camera Module, which is a camera designed specifically for Raspberry Pi. It connects to the mother board through one of the small socket in the upper part. Use the interface CSi dedicated, specially designed for use video.
Software application for the modified motion cam infrared Raspberry
Before you begin this integration we assumed to have an RPI configured with an updated version of Raspian, a form of RPI connected camera that works correctly with native raspistill .
application features motion-MMAL with my additions:
-possibility powered up or rebooting the system detection is disabled (motion detection)
- start and stop the motion detection of the movement of the application via the menu
- log on a daily of all events and application state motion
- in the case of motion detection is stored on the hard event, the image and a video of about 10 sec divided on directories for the year, month and day
- the event can be reported externally via Google talk, email and sms (not active at this time) and you have the option to disable the menu operation.
- the image or video can be reported externally via email and you the ability to disable the menu operation.
-visualization streaming on PC with the browser firefox mozilla or on smartphones like iPhone or Android with special applications

Notification System
Features of the notification system
- By mail with the user data entered into an initial menu, and you can also send attachments
- via text message with user data and secret word entered in an initial menu.
(It will be active in the next release)
-via Gtalk with user data included in an initial menu.
(need two gmail user who already know each other)
