How to enable or disable the hibernation feature in Windows 10

Hibernation is a state that can put your computer instead of turning it off or put it to sleep. When the computer hibernates, take a snapshot of your system files and drivers and keep that catch on the hard drive before it is turned off. This allows your computer to start faster, because you do not need to re-establish those files or settings.
Hibernation is a feature enabled by default and does not harm your computer, so it is not necessary to disable it, even if you do not use. However, when hibernation is enabled, this feature of the system reserve some space for that file - hiberfil.sys file - which is assigned 75 percent of the RAM on your computer. If you have 8GB of RAM, your hiberfil.sys file will 6GB of storage space on your hard drive; if you have 16GB of RAM, 12GB take your hiberfil.sys file.
Therefore, the main reason why you would disable hibernation on your computer is if you really need those gigabytes of space on your hard drive. If you disable hibernate , you can not hibernate (obviously), nor will be able to take advantage of the Quick Start feature of Windows 10, which combines startup times from hibernation and quick start.
Here's how to disable and re-enable hibernation in Windows 10:

1. Dale right click the Start button and select Command Prompt (Admin) from the popup menu. If you are asked by User Account Control, asking if you want to allow this program to make changes to your computer, select yes.

2. In the Command Prompt window, type powercfg.exe / hibernate off and press Enter on your keyboard.
3. To enable hibernation Windows 10, open the Command Prompt and type powercfg.exe / hibernateon and press Enter on your keyboard.
